Practical Info

On this page you will find practical information for the guided walks on offer.

Please read carefully as I reserve the right to exclude anyone from participating on any course, without refund or recourse, if they are not correctly attired.

Outdoor Activity Risk:

  • Firstly, all the walks are essentially a practical outdoor activity events, which involve walking. These walks are often over uneven terrain. Although every effort is made to minimise the risk factors, sometimes accidents do happen. I have undertaken and passed an Activity First Aid Course and have been DBS checked.

Correct attire for field trips:

  • Secondly, to be able to make the most of the outdoor activities please be sure you equip yourself with the correct clothing. This includes waterproofs, waterproof walking boots with good grip, sun cream, hat and bottled water. The weather changes very rapidly in this part of North Wales, indeed there is a saying ‘if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes and it’ll change!’
Practical outdoor walking shoes are essential

Bad weather contingency plan

  • Thirdly, participating in outdoor activities is totally weather dependent. Having discussed the weather previously, sometimes it can hammer down with rain all day.  Should weather conditions be unsuitable for a field trip, high winds, torrential rain etc you will be offered one of two options:

a) a full refund into your account or

b) offered a booking for an alternative day.

When booking please leave full contact details, mobile phone number, address and/or email address. This way I can contact you if bad weather prevents the chosen walk taking place.
